How far from MSG are you willing to trek? the dining options around penn station are terrible. If you can take a 3 minute cab to chelsea, or even cross town to gramercy, there are great italian restaurants on almost every street.

I really want to go to New York, but my mum and dad are all set for going to south of France each year. Don’t get me wrong, I love it out there, because I have so many friends out there, but I would really love a change. I also really want to shop! Anyone know how I can get them to take me! x

My two favorite cities I’ve been to are New York and San Francisco. I’m looking for somewhere else with a similar vibe to travel to for vacation. Any suggestions? I like to have a variety of things to do…museums, nature, shopping, site seeing…etc.

The New York Times plans 8 pct newsroom staff cuts
By ANDREW VANACORE – AP Business Writer
NEW YORK — The New York Times said Monday it will cut 100 newsroom jobs and an unspecified number elsewhere amid industrywide declines in advertising revenue.
The Times already trimmed about 100 positions from its business operations this spring and plans additional cuts. The newspaper would not say how many.

So I’m visiting New York City over spring break this year with a friend but I thought I’d start my planning early. There’s so much to do that it’s kind of overwhelming. I’m really into fashion and stuff like that. I’m just looking to relax and have an amazing time. I want to do tourist stuff but also try a lot of different things. If anyone can suggest anything, that would be great! And is it too cold to wear little dresses in late March there?

We are a family of 8-10 people traveling by car to NYC. Since we have a car we don’t mind staying in NJ or somewhere else that is a nice/safe area for families but also cheaper than NYC but within 30 minutes so we can see all the places in NYC.
Any areas we should consider staying at? or Specific hotels?
We will probably get 2 rooms for 2 nights each and want to stay under $ 400 if possible

why not stay in Manhattan and stay in Radio city apartments? heard they were very reasonable.
