I am visiting a friend there in a couple weeks and want to know what’s recommended and what to skip! Should I do Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Fisherman’s Wharf, etc? What do you recommend? What should I stay away from? I’m a fun-loving girl who’s open minded for anything cool!
I’m actually visiting for 3 days but will go to San Jose one day, the beach one day and San Francisco the next so.. I just want to make sure I don’t miss out on anything!

202.00 (United Airlines) — 279.00 (Delta) this is a 1 week roundtrip flight from Baltimore to Miami
135.000 — 183.00; if flying to FT. Lauderdale
*rule of thumb, always book a flight on a Tues/Wed if you can. The prices of tickets are generally cheaper because of low traffic volume and its the middle of the week; most often more business people are traveling at this time so the wait is minimal at best.

I’m speaking on terms of the plane ticket only, not hotel or rental car expenses. It would hopefully be from San Diego, or San Francisco, to Milwaukee. About what would be the price range for that?

Go to cheaptickets.com and check the flights. Also check with the airline websites directly. I have found flights less expensive a few times going direct through the airlines.

There is a NYC group of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) community. I am not gay, but a few of my friends are, and they are involved with this group. They perform musicals and educate people about the oppression of homosexuals. There’s a large age-range, and even if you don’t want to be involved in performances, you can still attend group meetings, or just become friends with a few people. The name of the group is Youth Pride Chorus.

I am going to Washington DC in March. I have only been once before when I was 17. Now I am taking my daughter and I have told her all about the exciting places to visit. However, it looks like we only have a day to tour the city. What would you consider to be the best places to visit while I am there?

It dependents on my mood. If you want something quick and good, Five Guys or Ben’s Chili Bowl are DC favorites. If you want a restaurant then Founding Farmers is the hot spot for professionals. I also like some of the smaller, ethnic places. Two Amy’s is good for Pizza. I also like Bourbon. But right now it would be a flip between Founding Farmers and Marrakesh Palace.
