Most airlines above it offer air tickets to foreign countries at lower prices.

For instance, fly to Rome. MAS’ tickets are higher than Qatar Airways’. Would we want to pay higher prices just to support our national airline?

Who said Malaysian Airlines is “good” ? I can say that it is as good as the others, and also not worse than them. Because of competition, they are the same….Sometimes, you have no choice but to take MAS because only MAS operates from your town…and if your timing is right, MAS can be cheaper than Air Asia. And if you take MAS, you are in familiar surroundings…..

Would greatly appreciate a local opinion of the market because I’m considering packing up and heading west. 
The search did include nearby tech areas of sunnyvale, san jose, santa clara, palo alto etc.
sorry, I should have mentioned, these are Technology Jobs.

If you have some education and especially a grad degree you should be able to find work in Silicon Valley. It’s been one of the few areas in the country not significantly impacted by the recession. Otherwise it’s slower in the downtown San Francisco area, but healthcare is doing OK.

My favorite is Singapore. They have a free movie theater, a gym, a hotel, lots of shops and coffee places, wireless internet and free computers.

I’m bringing my 90 year-old grandpa to see the WWII war monument in Washington DC and we’re looking for a convenient hotel to stay. Either one really close to the subway, or close to the Mall itself.

Holiday Inn @the Capital. Really nice hotel. Stayed there 2 yrs ago.

I am heading to Albuquerque on an internship for about 2 1/ 2months (basically for the summer). Originally from Washington DC, I’m hoping there is a vibrant nightlife and very social environment. I want to know what’s the culture like, how are the people there and most importantly what is there to do?

i have a lot of family in albuquerque and its one of my favorite cities in the US. avoid the tourist traps and get out on the streets. Most people are friendly and if you get a chance check out the surrounding area such as Taos to experience the local culture. as for the night life its so so. it has its good nights and its bad like any other city but if you know where to look and have an open mind your bound to have a great time. By the way DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!

What are the attractions in SAN FRANCISCO and SAN JOSE as well..

Go on Highway 101 (it’s simple really.)
San Jose and San Francisco are about an hour away (with traffic which there’s always.)
Use Mapquest ( http://www.mapquest.com ) if you want a way to get to San Francisco from the San Jose hotel you will be staying in (because I’m sure me telling you to go to the 101 isn’t detailed enough.)
