What is recommended as a nice hotel in a great location on the strip? I was thinking Paris or New York New York. My friends and I are 23 and 24 yrs old.

Paris and NYNY are both pretty nice places. But if you want a young crowd, check out Planet Hollywood. The location is good, and it’s a fun place. Rates are usually reasonable and there is no resort fee there. MGM is another good hotel. The more upscale Caesars, Bellagio, and Venetian/Palazzo are fantastic, and also in really great locations in the center of the strip, but they are a good bit more expensive.

By plane it’s about 4.5 hours.
According to google maps, it’s about 2500 miles and would take 1 day, 17 hours (straight) to drive.
You can check Amtrak’s site to see how long it would be by train. I know that there aren’t any trains that go directly there. You’d have to take a train from NY to Chicago, and then Chicago to the southwest, and then you’d have to take a bus.

Criminal minds HANDS DOWN lol. Then its csi Miami with horatio then ny why? Because criminal minds have the deepest story lines, either I’m crying or laughing or just drawn in to the tv with whatever that’s happening. Miami is cool, but I kinda feel like theyre running out of material, everything they do been done before. I don’t watch csi ny, its a snooze fest lol.

Hi Guys, I am in the process of planning a trip. I am from Australia and have no idea of what I am getting myself into. We want about 3 weeks doing this trip which I think is plenty of time. Starting from Los Angeles doing all the tourist stuff then driving to Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite etc etc all the way to San Francisco then back down the coast line to Los Angeles and leave for home. Not too sure how much money we are doing to need. Inc car rental, accommation (we are not fussy at all so 3 star or less is fine) Food, petrol, spending money. I feel totally in over my head trying to organise this trip. We are leaving at the end of October this year flights are costing us $ 1300 AUD return each which is fantastic. do you think that in total $ 5000 to $ 6000 in total will be enough to do this trip? I need all the input imaginable and please if anyone can tell me if they have done this trip. Cheers.

US$ 6000 will cover it as long as you gamble no more than say $ 100 in Las Vegas.
I live in LA and have driven all over these places. Been to Vegas far too many times.

So, I was thinking when I turned 18, I would go to New York, and when I turned 21, I would go to Las Vegas. But my mom wants me to go to New York when I’m 21. I mean, I might as well go to Las Vegas when I’m 21 so I can actually do something while I’m there (casino).
What Should I do? Go to New York when I’m 18, and wait till I’m 21 to go to Las Vegas? or vice versa?
Uh, Eric, my mom is going to be with me on both of these trips. It’s not like I’m going to be dancing on tables. I’m just going to see other states.
