Since you live in Cali, you probably would think 60-65 degress is pretty cold right? Well thats warm to people in New york, So bundle up and wear a coat. I’d wear just about 2-3 layers of clothing cause you’ll be warm just walking around the city all day. I’d wear just normal shoes but not flip flops ’cause you don’t want anyone stepping on your toes. The average degree in July is 69 degrees and average for January is 21 degrees

Within Malaysia, you can visit Langkawi, Penang, Johor, or even fly to Sabah.

Suggestions, within Peninsular Malaysia, you can choose to take coach from KL to Penang, then visit Langkawi. After that, fly from Penang to Phuket via Firefly. From Phuket to Bangkok, you can choose to fly AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, One-Two-GO Airlines.
From Bangkok, fly Jetstar, Tiger, or AirAsia to Singapore. You can then fly the same airlines from Singapore to Sabah, Malaysia before heading back to KL to complete your trip.

You don’t need to rent a car. However, you may want to drive down Lombard Street. You know, the most crooked street in the world, used in many car chase scenes.

Question by DudeThatsAwesome: California road trip from San Francisco to San Diego. Any suggestions on things to do/places to see?
My best friend and I are going to California for 6 days. We are thinking of going on a road trip from San Francisco to San Diego (or vice versa). It’s our first time in California.. What are some things to do, and places to see? What cities should we spend more time in? Beaches? Nightlife? Sites? Thanks for all your suggestions/advice

I went from San Francisco to San Diego once. It’s a good trip. From San Francisco to L.A. there’s a lot of beautiful nothing. But two good stopping points I remember are Pebble Beach and Hearst Castle.
Pebble Beach has many stunningly elegant coastal homes. We took a 17 mile scenic drive through, and they do charge you a bit, but it’s a pleasant change of scenery on a long road trip.
We took a tour of Hearst Castle, which is very over the top and gaudy, but incredibly fascinating if you know its history. I would recommend watching the film “Citizen Kane” and the documentary “The American Experience” before you go. They don’t mention “Citizen Kane” on the tour at all, and you’ll understand why after watching the documentary.

Question by : Any cheap cheap cheap hostels to recommend during my new york trip?
I need a place to stay for about two weeks…I have been looking all over the web but everything is so expensive. Of course I could share a room with someone in a hostel or even a dorm but I am just really scared as it is my first time alone in the big apple. So could anyone recommend some hostels or accomodations in new york? I would prefer a room or something…i have checked craigslist.com already…nothing…thank you so much everyone

Hey!
Yes, there are a ton of great, cheap hostels in NYC you can stay in. They are very safe and a lot of fun. If you’re going to be in the city by yourself, staying at a hostel is also a great way to meet other people.
I’ve stayed at a number of hostels around the city. All between $ 15 and $ 55 per night. May I recommend “Jazz on the Town”? Great location near Union Square in Manhattan and pretty darn cheap.
You will have to stay in a room with other people, typically on a bunk-bed. It is a lot of fun though and you won’t be spending any time in your room while visiting NYC anyway.
There is an article named “NYC Hostels – What you Should Know”. It has some good info you may want to know before you book. I’ll link to it below.

Have fun! You’ll love your time in the city.

Question by squiddy: Things to do on a trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco?
I’m possibly planning a trip there and would like some key things to do in those two cities. Also, I need enough stuff to last me about a week and a half. I’m looking for anything from common tourist attractions to hidden treasures. Thanks

For L.A.:
1. Spend a day at the Getty Center
2. Tour a Frank Lloyd Wright house if you like architecture
3. Drive up Laurel Canyon and back down to the valley on the other side, also check out Mulhulland drive. All the Hollywood Hills streets are fun and winding and great for a drive.
4. Splurge and spend a night or two at the Chateau Marmont Hotel, it’s worth it.
5. Visit the Getty Villa, (not part of the main Getty Center). It was recently renovated.
6. Take a horseback ride up to the Hollywood Sign.
7. Drive west on Sunset Blvd to the ocean, then go to Santa Monica, then back to Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd.
