Q&A: San Francisco residents, where was this movie scene filmed?

Question by Dances With Mops: San Francisco residents, where was this movie scene filmed?
In Roger Moore’s last outing as James Bond, “A View To A Kill,” there is a scene in which he steals a fire engine and allegedly jumps it over an open drawbridge (not-so-smooth editing). The SFPD tries to follow him, but loses half their patrol fleet in the process. Where was this drawbridge?
Also, are there any organized tours of famous movie settings in San Francisco? I know that there have been scores of films made there.
AJ- How did I know that you could come up with those links?

You shouldn’t visit the IMAX in New Orleans. It is nice, but it’s a waste of time if you’ve ever been to a movie theater. But as long as your gettung early starts you should be able to visit all the places you want to see.

Question by Mrs J: We are planning a vacation to Washington DC this summer. Being from Maine, I know nothing about the area.?
I’m hoping there is someone out there who does. Right now we are planning to take a bus from here to there. Now how would I get from the bus station to the motel? Are there busses that run around town?

buse or cabs — just like the big city —- You’ll want to allow a lot
of time for the Smithsonian. Then within walking distance on the
mall you’ll find the National Archives, short distance from there
is the white house, senate,:Lincoln, Jefferson, and Washington
Memorial. Then take a step or two over to Arlington to pay respects
and visit Kennedy’s eternal flame. A taxi/bus ride will get you
out to the National Zoo with the Panda’s n stuff. Been a few years
since I was there last so don’t remember night spots – sorry

Q&A: Will flights from London to New York this summer get cheaper or more expensive the longer I wait?
Posted by Mostafa Safavi in All about New York on November 30th, 2011
Question by Lord G: Will flights from London to New York this summer get cheaper or more expensive the longer I wait?
I am looking into travelling from London to New York in late July/early August and coming back in late August/early September. Flights at the moment are about £150 each way (what I think is cheap).
Should I buy them as soon as possible, or can I wait for a few months before buying the tickets?
Thanks.

Hmmm, you do not have to worry. Once you step into Changi Airport or if you coming by JB, you just have to take the MRT to city area like; Orchard, Somerset, Raffles, City Hall, Bugis.. There have plenty of hotels……

Q&A: Is this the solution to our economic problems?

Question by going postal: Is this the solution to our economic problems?
Bush Outsources Deficit
April 1, 2008
AP Washington, DC — The White House announced today that President Bush will be sending legislation to Congress to outsource the deficit.
“Outsourcing is the solution to all of America’s problems,” said President Bush. “If it worked for Andersen and McKinsey, it works for me.”
Bush’s announcement is a dramatic extension of the Administration’s growing support for offshore outsourcing, an increasing trend that has moved hundreds of thousands of jobs in manufacturing and service sectors from the U.S. to lower wage countries. In December, the Commerce Department hosted workshops at the 2007 Economic and Trade Conference to train American companies in outsourcing and to specifically encourage the exportation of jobs to China.
In February, the President’s Chief Economic Advisor said the “movement of U.S. factory jobs and white-collar work to other countries is a positive transformation.”
On an official trip to India in March, Secretary of State Rice promised that the Administration would continue to support the outsourcing of American jobs.
How outsourcing works for America Bush also explained why the world must take responsibility for America’s deficit. “Why should every kid born in America be stuck with $ 35,000 in debt — when we can just outsource it and stick it to every kid on the planet?”
President Bush also indicated that outsourcing the deficit could help support multilateral cooperation in the war on terror. “And make sure that other countries pick up the tab for the war on terror — that’s multilateral cooperation for ya’!”
President Bush’s new plan flies in the face of Democrats’ criticisms that providing economic incentives for companies to outsource risks America’s prospects for economic recovery.
I didn’t make this up, I am just referencing an actual story
