Question by : What would be great places to visit in Washington DC if I can only spend the day there?
I am going to Washington DC in March. I have only been once before when I was 17. Now I am taking my daughter and I have told her all about the exciting places to visit. However, it looks like we only have a day to tour the city. What would you consider to be the best places to visit while I am there?

Q&A: Is there any cheapest direct(non-stop)flight from Hongkong to Mumbai?

Question by Chetan: Is there any cheapest direct(non-stop)flight from Hongkong to Mumbai?
I will be flying from Philippines to Hongkong & Hongkong to Mumbai. i already have multiple budget airlines to choose from to travel from Philippines to Hongkong. Now, the questions is, Is there any cheapest or budget airlines or direct flight to Mumbai from Hongkong. I had already made some research but somehow they required VISA for INDIAN national to enter in their respective country that’s why I’m avoiding any booking via Singapore(Visa Required), Malaysia(Visa Required), Bangkok(Visa on arrival) as they require visa in any case eventhough if its connecting flight.

Thats why I’m looking for promo/cheaper air fare by Kingfisher, jet airways, airindia & Cathy pacific (these are the direct flights to Mumbai from HKG). I’m thinking travelling via HKG to BOM would be the best option for me.

If you guys have any info regarding this then kindly share with me.

Thank you so much in advance.

Jet is a discount airline so I would think they would be cheaper than Cathay Pacific. Kingfisher is struggling financially and rumors are they may go under so I would avoid them. Cathay Pacific has great service but the tickets may be a bit more. I suggest you get a travel agent to price you out a ticket since sometimes they can get pretty good deals.

Are there two Milford Plaza hotels in New York City?

I keep coming up with 2 different addresses.

Best answer:

Answer by hfrankmann
No – Just one. For some they use their both 8th avenue address and their 45th st address they are on the corner. At one tine 8th Avenur was a little seedy but thats no as true anymore. 8th avenue and 45th Street is just a block from Times Square, if thats where you want to stay.

Best places in Washington DC to visit? I’m only going to be there for a solid day.?

Question by Katie: Best places in Washington DC to visit? I’m only going to be there for a solid day.?
My bf lives in Jacksonville NC, and we’re driving up to Washington DC and spending the night and touring the next day. What are the must-sees? Is there a website out there that will plan a little itinerary for me? Thanks!

Go to “the mall” area. You can view The Capital Building, The White House, The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, and even spend a little time in the Smithsonian. They are all within a 2-mile walk along the mall. No bus, no subway needed.

What is there to do in San Francisco?

Question by mushroomtop123: What is there to do in San Francisco?
It could be around S.F. or Daly City but not San Jose. I live here and my family’s looking for something to do. It can’t be anything too obvious like Fisherman’s Wharf or the Golden ate Bridge.

Is there a Egypt exhibit at the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC ?

Question by : Is there a Egypt exhibit at the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC ?
I can’t find anything about one, but i was hoping there is.. ?

Best answer:

Answer by DON W
Are you referring to the Tut exhibition that’s been traveling around the country? If so, it is not (at least at present) in Washington.

The Smithsonian doesn’t have any extensive collection of Egyptian antiquities. They focus on American history and culture. The National Gallery of Art may have a few such items (although I can’t immediately think of any).

The closest museums I can think of that are strong in Egyptian antiquities are in Philadelphia and New York.

UPDATE

I’m glad that Pepper was able to think of some specific exhibits. I stand with my original statement, though, that Egyptian antiquities are not a strength of the Smithsonian.

Is there any cheaper airlines that arrived at KLIA of Malaysia Airport ?

Question by : Is there any cheaper airlines that arrived at KLIA of Malaysia Airport ?
I’m taking a flight from singapore to malaysia airport, but i want to arrive at KLIA instead of the LCCT. I wonder if there is cheaper airlines that allowed to arrive at KLIA. Like does air asia all these arrive at KLIA instead of LCCT?

Best answer:

Answer by Pompal
All Air Asia flights arrive at/depart from LCCT.

The airlines that fly from Singapore into Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) are Malaysian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Silk Air and Jetstar Asia Airlines.

Jetstar Asia have flights from as little as $ 28.00SGD one-way.

Is there anyone who caught on tape the WHOLE Vans Warped Tour 2009 show at San Francisco?

Question by Voomer!: Is there anyone who caught on tape the WHOLE Vans Warped Tour 2009 show at San Francisco?
If so, I would love if either anyone of you people out there could send me the video(s) because I missed out on it. I made big plans on going but sadly, I was busy with family stuff. Trips, y’know? So if anyone, anybody, could kindly give me their link so I can fully watch the shows. It’d mean a lot to me.

Thank you.

P.S. I tried checking on YouTube, of course, but they did not have the whole show at the 2009 San Francisco Warped Tour as I thought they would have. I was thinking at least some would have it caught on tape. Nope.
