Question by valouriey: Could someone tell me more about the City College of San Francisco Job Fair held tomorrow in San Francisco?
I’d like to know specifically who it’s geared toward, say students, educators, the general public and so forth. I know it’s held on the Mission Campus on Valencia Street, but I have been unable to find an official website, even at the school website!

To come here for free, you might try approaching a courier company that pays for your air fare but you hep carrying goods in for them. (careful that you don’t carry any drugs or fire arms, you will be hang under Singapore Law). Once you get here, budget hotels and cheap food a plenty.

Can somebody tell me whether these hotels are in a good area in San Francisco?

Question by MH: Can somebody tell me whether these hotels are in a good area in San Francisco?
Hello,
I am planning to spend a few days in San Francisco, but I cannot decide which of these two hotels I should take and whether they are in a safe/ good area of San Francisco or not.
Is the Adante Hotel in a safe area of San Francisco?
It is located in 610 Geary Street.
The other hotel is called La Luna Inn and it is located in 2599 Lombard Steet. Is a cable car station close to that hotel and ore the main sights good reachable from that hotel?
It would be nice if somebody who have stayed in one these hotel could tell me whether it is a good/ nice hotel and whether it is recommendable. Thanks!

this is based from the opinions i got from the internet:
Adante Hotel::
i Had a pleasant 4 nite stay at the Adante and read some very uneven reviews. For the money you know that you should lower your expectations, having said that front desk staff were always courteousand helpful, housekeeping was always on top of things, rooms done everyday and done right. We had the park and room rate and with the transit…
We have previously stayed at the sister hotel, The York, and had a pleasant stay, so we thought we would give the Adante a try. This is an old fashioned, mid sized hotel in a good central location. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean. The decor of the room was a bit strange (undersea mural painted…)
We enjoyed our stay at Adante Hotel & would stay there again. We were greeted Tony at checkin who was always friendly & helpful at the front desk. Our room was clean & tidy with a huge ensuite, big TV, iron, safe & ceiling fan. The area can feel a bit dodgy at night, but we felt safe going to…
I have just come back from San Francisco. I stayed at the Adante hotel for 10 nights with my girlfriend and we don’t have a single complaint about it. The hotel is clean, the rooms are cleaned everyday. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our toilet got blocked while we were there and we informed the front desk of this…
They were having computer problems and couldn’t check us in right away. They locked our luggage in a room and bought us a couple of drinks while we waited. I’d only recommend the room as a place to sleep and shower. If you aren’t planning on spending much time at your hotel it is perfect. It is clean, safe, and…
My family and I stayed for 1 night and I must say, I had a few reservations after reading the previous reviews. However, the hotel was basic and old but clean. Our bathroom was quite new and very clean. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and there was plenty to fill up on. It was centrally located and an easy walk…
We arrived about 10.00pm and was advised by the friendly front desk staff member that we had been allocated a delux queen room. Room was a good size with a separate couch. Batthroom was very large. Room very clean and bed comfortable. All staff were very courteous and helpful. I would stay again and recommend this Hotel to others.
I stayed here in June 2007. I booked through expedia and got a great rate ($ 65/night). The hotel is centrally located. It is indeed not far from the sketchy part of the city (to the right as you exit the hotel), but it is still safe and only three blocks away from the Union Square and all the restaurants and…
My mother and I flew to San Francisco 5/19 for a concert and stayed one night at The Adante Hotel. The hotel definitely needs some work.1) The room accomodations were unsatisfactory. Apon walking into my room I was horrified by the color of the walls, which were a shade of yellow that looked ike someone had urinated on them….
As a experianced traveller (have been on the road for 6 months) this hotel is not represented accuratley- Decor and condition is shocking NO A/C, service is so so-dated, smelly, not anywhere as good as a best western/motel 6/super 8.Hand painted murals on poor quality walls to disguise age-just…
La Luna Inn :::
Stayed for 3 nights before moving on to LA. The hotel was located at the Golden Gate bridge end of Lombard Street about 30 minutes walk from Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39. There was a lot of traffic noise from our front facing room which may bother some people but we didn’t find it much of a problem. The rooms…
Motel style but really nice modern rooms, staff were so helpful, on main road so slightly noisy and as a motel style you can here people wheeling their luggage and talking outside, dont let that put you off though cos I am REALLY sensitive to noisy hotels and i really enjoyed our stay here. Beds were huge and really comfy….
This hotel is just a place to crash, but at the same time, it’s not ideal. It gets the job done however, and it’s super cheap for the area.Pros:Felt pretty safe although Lombard is crazy busyComfy bedsVery cleanFree parking (we had no trouble finding a spot)Cheap rate!Cons:Even the back of the hotel…
Perhaps the first problem was booking via an online site. I have found in the past that this means in many hotels that you get the worst rooms. We were in room #3, on the first floor on the parking lot. There was a workdesk but you had to move it and block the small space to hang clothes as…
My husband and I stayed in La Luna Inn for two nights during a recent vacation to California. With tax, we paid about $ 107 a night, a good value, I think. The hotel is very cheery and nicely kept. The room was small, but that really didn’t bother us. We weren’t in it much anyway. A little bit of a…
We had a pleasant stay at La Luna Inn. The room was large and clean, the beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful, the continental breakfast was a convenient way to start a day. The parking was free. The price was a little over $ 100. We’ll definately stay there again. Los Angeles
Much better than I thought it would be. Clean rooms, helpful desk people, adequate bathroom, free parking is a good thing in SF. Leave your car there and take the bus or cabs to where you want to go. Rooms in the back were ok but those in our party who stayed on the street side said it was very…
Note: these opinion are not from me..ive just got it on the internet and my friends..hope ive helped u

Question by vjf66: Critique this really short story and tell me what you think.?
The Cashier
There was a lonely old man named Eugene that used to walk by my house every morning. He had told me once that he felt envious of all the rich men who have everything they want, including a beautiful wife. He worked as a cashier at the local grocery store, but he wanted more than that. He felt like he deserved more respect as a person and didn’t’t only want to be known as “the cashier.” I respected his opinion, but I saw a large flaw in his view. He had too much pride in himself; so much, in fact, that he quit his job as a cashier and moved to New York City to become a taxicab driver.
He told me, “I don’t want to be lazy about this anymore. I’ve always wanted to see the city, and I wouldn’t have to move around that much. All I’d have to do is drive, and I drive pretty well for a sixty-year-old man like me. Also, I’d probably get paid much more as a taxicab driver in the bustling city of New York City, than as a cashier in a rundown grocery store in this quiet town.” He walked away, but then turned around to add, “I want you to visit New York City one day. Hopefully, you’ll find my taxicab and come inside so I can drive you around and tell you how much my life’s improved.”
Within the following week, he moved to New York City. That’s the last time I ever actually saw Eugene.
His lust for a new life and greed for more money led him to his untimely death. I only knew of his death because I read it in a newspaper, in the obituaries section. It read along the lines of, “Eugene Harold Thompson, Jr. was killed in a fender bender traffic accident late Tuesday night. Witnesses claimed to have seen a speeding red car crash into the back of a taxicab. The taxicab, driven by Eugene, was sandwiched in between that car and a bus at around 12:30 AM…”
It was too bad. He wanted money and a wife, but instead he received a coma and death. He followed his dreams too late in life, and for that, life gave him wrath. He never received the money he longed for or the wife he dreamed of his whole adult life. His gluttony of fulfillment never paid off like he thought it would.
I visited his tombstone, which was placed in his hometown. It read, “GLUTTONY KILLS MORE THAN THE SWORD.”
If you haven’t noticed yet, it contains all 7 deadly sins. I wrote this for a writing club. So, tell me what you think. Thanks.

Question by Celtic Green 182: Can someone tell me the flight path for the Emirates flight from San Francisco to Dubai?
I know it goes over Canada, the North Pole, and Russia but can you be more specific. Does it go around northeast Canada first or go directly north and fly over Oregon Washington and Vancouver. Does it fly over the center of the North Pole or go to the side where Greenland is. And where over Russia. Maybe Moscow. Please help.

Sometime tomorrow, after 445PM PDT, go to the URL shown below and enter EK 226 for April 16. You should get a response of the fight times and in flight. Click on the “In Flight” and you will get more info including a map of the flight’s route. If this does not work, email me.
Long distance flights follow the great circle route. To see this check the second URL and enter SFO to DXB the codes for the airports and you will see a presentation of the great circle route between these two airports.
The great circle for this trip is to head 002 degrees which will take the flight just to the right of the north pole and then head down over Russia starting just east of Novaya Zemlya, about 50 degrees East longitude, and follow just east of this longitude all the way to Dubai.
Regards,
Dan

Question by Dr. Chill: What can you tell me about the Chelsea apartments in New York City?
I would appreciate your recommendations about this or any other apartments that would be worthwhile in New York City.

Answer by Mary O
If you’re asking about London Terrace, it’s $ 2,300 a month for a one-room apartment. So you would need to earn 40 times that, or $ 92,000 with great credit scores, to put in an application, and you’d need about $ 6,800 to move in.
That’s about market rate.

How does my character sound to you? Read the bio on her and tell me does she sound interesting?

Question by Ⓘvy [Don't run with scissors ✄]™: How does my character sound to you? Read the bio on her and tell me does she sound interesting?
WARNING **** Not the main character in fact more of a minor character.
Nia Edge = She was born in Australia but moved to New York when she was three years old. Nia had it all at an early age. Loving family, all the toys she wanted, she lived in a big house. Until an accident happened. Her mother was killed in a bus crash in New York. The driver was trying to commit suicide and ended up driving the bus of a bridge. There were only a few survivors of the crash. Nia missed her mother and after that became emotionally scared because since she had it all at a young age she never knew what it felt like to lose something or someone precious. Her father turned into a mess. He was so grief stricken he began yelling at Nia and her older sister blaming them both for the deaths of his wife. The older sister ( no name any suggestions) got tired of being treated in that manor and ran away.
Nia’s father got worse he began going out and drinking thinking that by doing so he could feel “happier” and forget about his wife. He ended up coming home drunk and really abusing Nia. She has two huge scars one on her left hand after her father threw her against the wall and on her left thigh after he also pushed her down the stairs. Nia describes her father transformation from greatest father in the world to abusive father “ Like watching a monster form before your eyes.”
Nia has now grown distant and hurt. She’s troubled and after what happened to her mother she lost most of her friends after she stopped talking to them at school and became distant. She used to have long silky dark brown hair but now has short messy hair with chopped up bangs. She has amber eyes and pail skin, full lashes and is petite because she isn’t fed much now. Her grades at school are dropping and because she’s an outcast and tends to get into a lot of fights ( her against the snobby prep) she is facing expulsion. Dresses in dark black jeans and navy, dark colored shirts.
He life changes when she learns of her fate and meets Annabelle and Elisabeth.
