bugis is a good location situated near bugis shopping centre and within walking distance to suntec and marina square shopping centres. you can also visit the esplanade theatre and take the Singapore Flyer.
though the hotel is quite old already..

The countries mentioned are good for vacation but when it comes to accommodation and money worth vacation i suggest Philippines. Live like king or queen. I’ve been there and it’s really a great thing to be with your love ones.

I’m looking for non-chain restaurants, no fast food (unless it’s REALLY interesting), and not too far from the interstate. The more interesting, the better!

Have you looked at a map? There is almost nothing along I-95 from Richmond to Jacksonville. The only things that have built up near exits are gas stations, motels, and fast food joints.

I suggest spending time in the Napa / Calistoga area near San Francisco. You can go wine tasting and take a mud bath. I did that and it was really cool (sounds gross but it’s not).

You would be better off Taking BART the local subway system. There is a Bart station inside SFO. It goes to the South bay and then take a taxi from there.
