Question by pyon!! pyon!!: California Vacation Tours (San Fran to LA, etc.) Travel Agencies Please?
Me and my mother would like to visit California in August. However we don’t know what tour packages to get or which ones are the best. Our visit will span from August 1st to two or one weeks. We would like to have our package to include San Francisco and Los Angeles and all in between. Which travel agencies or tour agencies would do the job? We would really appreciate any feedback! Here is the problem: travel agents are a dying breed, as they have been squeezed out by whatever you see on the internet. You really had to decide what it is you want to see and work from that angle. do you belong to AAA? They culd offer a better degree of help. One week is not enough time to do both LA and SF well

We have booked (9 persons all 50+ ) following round trip tickets in Air Asia for 5500 INR 
16-sep-2011: Kochi (India) to KL
27-sep-2011: KL to Kochi
Need to know the order of the places to visit and mode of transport.We would like to travel in bus/train/ferry. Also looking for a budget travel ….
We prefer to travel in train/bus during the day time

Hi. I am Yong Jun .
I have been given a chance in trying out for a basketball team in United States.My absolute burden is the money for the air-flight ticket.from Singapore to Norfolk,Virginia.
My parents and my brothers was all very happy for my opportunity,and the seriously wanted to help me pay for my air-ticket but i knew my parents was struggling financially for them to have any money on helping me.I know that they have been feeling very upset that they cant even help me since this is the first time i asked favor from them.
I have been working hoping to save up for the ticket,but i have used up most of it for studying,family and bills.My only chance was using the lottery,as i was told that if there is really nothing for you to depend on getting the money in short terms,may as well try on Singapore lottery,4D & toto.
But this is the 7 times i am buying it,nope have won once,and i was hoping that i could get some lucky numbers from people out there,by the way i am just asking since i have no number to buy,may as well get some hope from others.
Please give me 6/45 digits just like lotto, on helping me to get the money to buy a ticket there,thanks.

It is a little silly to say what you want to say now and do what you are doing now. It doesn’t make the sense, cents & dollars to earn you the future you wanted……..and will end as failure.
As you said……and should be filled with full confidence to run your life and make your money in hard work or by LUCK….it is alright.
Be yourself, be an achiever with full determination to do what you want to do. When there is a will there will always be a way to reach it. What you need to do is go for it, all opportunities that come your way and make full use of them for success and bright future. Good luck & work hard.

this on buddhist monks.i understand that buddhism is all about detaching yourself from the need of materials.but what i see these days are just so contrary.i saw monks with the latest handphones that not even the normal workers could afford,going to pubs and all.and i heard from a friend who was working as a receptionist in a budget hotel in a red light district in singapore,that during some evenings,the monks who stay i that hotel,would line up and look with lust at the prostitutes.are they just impersonating?
dun get me wrong k?i am not pointing my fingers on the religion because as far as i’m concerned,buddhism is a peaceful religion.but some of those monks are going around begging and winning the sympathy of many trusting people.i am afraid they are misusing the money they got from their begging to their own use.

Wearing a monk uniform doesn’t mean he is a monk.
If you take it that way, you would feel better.

would prefer a hotel with clean rooms, good polite service, and not on the bustle of the main road, maybe a little inside with greenery around. Budget around 100 sg dollars. i plan my visit around may 2007 , so i have sufficient time .
stay is for a family of four in 2 rooms

I am a couple days away from my road test, just finished my drivers ed course; got the 5 hour certificate, practice hours, permit, certificate of completion, and the insurance deduction for taking the course and defensive driving. I plan to go away a couple hours for college and thats the only reason im in a rush to get a car. I want to get a used jeep (dont know what model yet) and im saving up money but i dont really know cars cost-wise so does anyone know really good, cheap general pricing for (good, safe) used jeeps in the long island, new york area and maybe even some good dealership suggestions or websites to check? please and thank you

without knowing how much money you’ ll have im going to guess 2500 bucks.
not too many cars are good at that price but the best bet is to buy a used police car a ford crown victoria with about 80K miles.
why a used Police car because there maintained all the time. when ever somthing is broke they fix it. you can find one for about 2,000 bucks at a city auction. put new tires and a battery and should be good. the best part 2 years later you sell it for 3,000.

would a car insurance for an 19 yr old male living in new York be cheaper if the car is fully paid off? for example i buy a 1998 honda civic full paid. would it be cheaper then financing? if so how much cheaper? around what price will i pay for the fully paid honda civic a month? $ 200, $ 300 etc?

Whether the car is paid off or financed has no bearing at all on the insurance company’s liability and therefore no bearing on the insurance rates.

San Fran, Monterey Bay, or Yosmite? Answers please?

I am going to visit my great- aunt in California for the 3rd time. She lives in Sacramento. When I went out there in 2004, I went with my mom and cousin. We went to San Francisco, but I remember hardly anything of it, but what I do remember is that I had fun. I don’t really know what it’s like though. I was 8 years old. I went out there again last year in July and we went to Bodega Bay, and that was amazing. I loved the scenery. I went by myself. I am going by myself again in August this time my options are San Francisco, which was an option last year, Monterey Bay & Aquarium, or Yosemite Nat’l Park. I’ve never been to a mountaineous place. I know they are all completel different, but could anyone suggest which one I’d like best?
I like diversity. I like taking lots of pictures! I love the ocean (SFO & Monterey) but I don’t know if I’d like the mountains because i’ve never been there… Any personal experiences? Thanks!

Definitely definitely definitely go for Yosemite. It is awe inspiring and so much fun with a camera. You will have a great time hands down no matter what. I go every year!

Well I am 16 years old (Male) and this summer my mom said we could visit one of the two place! I am having a really hard time trying to figure out what to do! I love like musuems and stuff like that I think its interesting but I always think New York City would be pretty Awesome with like the Empire State Building and stuff! Please Help!

I am going to D.C. for vacation. I am unsure of how to get the best deal and if I should rent a car or not. Someone told me to take metro as its fast and safe. Any recommendations on making the trip a success?

Metro is your best bet for getting around inside DC. Then you don’t have to deal with parking or traffic. Newcomers can easily get intimidated by driving in DC, especially the traffic circles.
It depends on what you want to see and do. There are a few places that are not easy walking distance to the Metro, like Old Town Alexandria in Virginia. But you could use a cab to go the last mile or so from Metro.
