Question by Cyle F: Where is the best place to live (apartment or studio) in San Francisco?
I’m moving from Central Florida to San Francisco. However, I haven’t decided on a certain location or complex. I’d like to know the best place with low crime and close to fun activities and people. Don’t really mind the pricing but anything under $ 2,000/month would be nice. Thanks for your time.

The Sunset & the Richmond (which are virtually the same, just on opposite sides of GG park) are really nice and close to good stuff. Especially the Richmond as you’re close to the park, and Geary which has TONS of great food, shopping, movie theater & bars

SoHo is a great place when it comes to sneakers and other young and hip clothing. They also provide the more elegant shopping stores for people who like things like Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton.

I don’t know how to get to any of these places but it might be helpful to you. “If you are in San Francisco the best place might be near the top of Nob Hill. Down by the waterfront will be another good spot. The green out by the Presidio will of course be a favorite and most of the locals will be heading there.”
Have fun

Question by nancy84: Where is the best place in Washington DC to find a fancy dress in a size 14/16?
I need to find a dress for an event Tuesday night, its black tie, but doesn’t need to be a ball gown. I’m currently between 14/16- I don’t know the shopping in DC very well. Attempted Georgetown today and had trouble finding anything over a size 6. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

If you’re looking for one on the cheap, I’d recommend Filene’s Basement or Loehmans.
Mid-price, I’d suggest Nordstrom or Macy’s at Pentagon City.
If you’re willing to spend a little more, Neiman Marcus has a good selection of bigger-than-size-6 dresses – just make sure to ask the sales person if you don’t see your size.
