My boyfriend and I want to get away for the weekend to have some time alone. But He doesn’t want to do a lot of driving, and we can’t afford anything expensive. Does anyone know where we should go? We live in New York City. Thanks, Happy Holidays.

He is a contractor and makes around 50k a year, where is a decent neighborhood we can afford to live in to rent a house or condo?

I’d suggest Redwood City, which is south of San Francisco, or some of the other suburbs south of San Francisco, like Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Burlingame, Daly City, and San Bruno, to name a few. I’ve visited my relatives out there and it’s a good area to live in. People make good wages. Cost of living is still high, but not as high as in San Francisco.

Great question but you can’t have it all. The best place is New York but you will need a room mate perhaps two to afford the rent.

Hi… I’m going to China in a couple of weeks and I want to get an iPod touch. I live in Australia so they’re pretty expensive and I was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy one in China/Singapore (as our flight stays there for a few hours)? Please also give me the RRPs in those countries.
