New York to Cleveland drive- scenic locations to break our journey for the night?

Question by fnm500: New York to Cleveland drive- scenic locations to break our journey for the night?
Dear all,
We are driving from New York to Cleveland late June and as its a 8 hour drive, we wanted to break the journey by spending a night in a state park or in a B&B along the way, in a scenic location. I see there are several state parks such as Moshannon Forest, Bald Eagle Forest, Sproul State Forest- which one of these is the best and any suggestions for where we could spend the night?
Many thanks in advance

It’s an 8 hour trip. There is no need to break up the journey into two separate days.

Hmm, this is a tough one. You could try contacting some local NYC guides here:
http://www.viamigo.com/tours/new_york.html
Their New York tours are customizable, and one may be willing to accompany you to DC or maybe organize a bus for you. Alternatively, this guy:
http://www.viamigo.com/tour/washington-dc-plus.html?contact_guide
is a DC native and might be able to organize something for you in that area.
OR you could have a New York guide in New York, take a bus down to DC, and then hook up with a DC guide in the capital.
The DC guide will probably have great recs for hotels in the area.

Question by canukinsocal: New York City boutique hotels under 0 per night in October?
I’m looking for suggestions about which hotel my wife and I should stay at in NY city during the second week of October. We don’t want to spend more than $ 300-$ 350 per night, less if possible, but we want high quality.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Give this one a shot. Great location and very interesting design.
I was going to suggest 60 Thompson Street boutique. Hard to get a reservation in some of these places for the fall.
Good luck, they are turning many great boutique hotels in Manhattan into condos.

Nice hotels in New York City at Christmas time. Around 400$ or less a night.?

Question by Madpug: Nice hotels in New York City at Christmas time. Around 400$ or less a night.?
We are going to New York City at the end of December through January 2. There will be 2 parents and 3 children. We are looking for a luxury hotel that is in a nice, safe area and closer to central park or around that area. We realize we will be there for new years so we want it to be special. Price is not really that important but around 450$ or less would be better. We really want everything about it to be a really memorable experience.

Any recommendations for a San Francisco hotel around $100 a night that INCLUDES parking?

Question by thebear: Any recommendations for a San Francisco hotel around 0 a night that INCLUDES parking?
Of course parking is where they get you in SF… Hotline and Expedia often don’t include that fee which can run up to $ 50.

No hotel in San Francisco is going to include parking. Parking in a congested major city like San Francisco isn’t cheap. And most hotels in large cities don’t own their own parking facilities.
