Question by : Where are cheap hotels in New York City?
My girlfriend and I are celebrating Valentines day this weekend because she lives in Maryland now and both of us have busy work schedules. Sadly I have to work this Friday and Saturday so we only have Sunday and Monday morning to enjoy each other’s company. In order to have each others complete undivided attention we would have to stay at a hotel.
Where are some cheap hotels that we can stay at for one night?
I want to make this weekend as special as possible, can you please help? 
Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan preferred.

Hopefully going to go the weekend before Xmas. I was after a 4* hotel for 3 nights, no more than £600 ($ 1200) total. Does anyone have any ideas? Preferably somewhere near shops or scenic.

oh sweet. NYC will be great in december! also freakin cold!
no where in particular…just make sure you get something *in* the city and not in the boroughs like Queens or near the airport. Manhattan-ish / downtown.
book early. like now. or in June.
search travel velocity.com, expedia.com
again, look for cites within walking distance of major attractions.
around airport = bad
borough’s = anything more than 15 miles from NYC = bad.

I’m visiting NYC in mid March and looking to stay one night but having no luck finding a hotel that will accept me (currently at the age 20), is there any websites or hotel you can recommended?

I have a friend visiting from out of state and she wants to stay at a decent hotel. I read that union square area is the best bet since it is close to all the night life. The ones I found so far is running close to $ 200 for a night (Westin, Hilton, etc..). I want to keep it under $ 200 while still being a “nice” room/hotel. Any suggestions? Thanks

I’m planning a trip to ny. Basically, I’m not that keen in staying in huge great big buildings, that are 50 storeys high – I can live with 5 or six! Don’t want to stay in hostels either. Thanks for any help.
