I’ve always wanted to go to New York, and it’s not now, til i’ve started earning some money, that I can afford to.
I don’t know very much about the city though? What are good airlines to travel with? Where would I want to stay if I want to be in the middle of the tourist-y bit? I don’t want to be put up somewhere that’s miles out of town on the outskirts or in a dangerous bit.
The brochure i’ve got has lots of hotels in Manhattan. Is that a good bit? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I’m planning a seven day holiday to New York, early next year, with the mrs, what must we see and do whilst we’re there ?
A day or two, out of the city would be good too. I just don’t want to go all the way the the US, and see concrete.

Well, in the city, some must haves are:
Row boating in Central Park – it is gorgeous, romantic, and fun to take a row boat out on the lake and just drift
Lunch at Serendipity – a small, cozy, adorable restaurant known for their frozen hot chocolate
Stroll at MOMA – the art is absolutely spectacular
Watch a play on Broadway – the productions are beyond amazing there, and the acting is superb

If you want to stay in New York City, try the Chelsea Lodge (not to be confused with the Chelsea Inn or the Chelsea Hotel). You get good value for your money.

Milford Plaza, NYC

The Beacon hotel is nearer more quite locations such as central park etc.
Where as the Milford Plaza is near Times Sq.
Both lovely hotels, look on those websites and u will find info all about them!

There is no way to determine the “chance” of meeting a girl. The outcome depends entirely on yourself.

My family and I are hoping to go on a holiday to somewhere near New York (Planning on traveling to New York 3 or 4 days). We would like somewhere with plenty of activities such as a theme park, water park, cinema, shopping mall and so on. Also if possible a place with good sunny weather during the summer. If anyone had any suggestions on where to go?

May I give you an honest opinion? I don’t really see the merit of coming to New York, if by this you meant New York City, to do the kinds of things you described. You can do those anywhere. Manhattan is a theme park. It’s a water park if it rains. We have tons of movie theaters, but the most important thing is to try to see one or two Broadway shows while you’re here. We have sunny weather, but I wouldn’t call it “good,” not in the summer.
I don’t know if you can see where I’m coming from with this, but let me let you tell me first if you meant New York City or someplace else in New York State and we’ll go from there.
