Question by : In San Francisco, need transportation help getting to Mission District.?
Getting a rental car at the airport. Would like to drive it to a trolley/train station, take the trolley/train to the Mission District. Would like the station I board at to be convenient to park at. Would like to see the city on trolley. And spend the rest of afternoon in the Mission District. Let me know where would be an ideal place to park and jump on trolley and which line to take. Any good restaurant recommendations in the Mission District are also welcome. I land in a couple of hours.
Thanks.

You can take BART directly from the international terminal of SFO directly into the Mission. The 16th and 24th Street stations are on Mission Street. The BART stops between the airport and the mission all have parking, should you choose to drive.

Help with making a dwarf hamster cage?

Question by Heidi L: Help with making a dwarf hamster cage?
So I have an extra 29 gallon aquarium 30x12x18 (lwh) and I would like to start a robo hamster colony. On your website it mentions having 4 hamsters tops. So would 3 females and 1 male be suitable for the tank (I have a breeder in my area that I would be able to give the babies to)?
Also, if you didn’t notice, I would like to also breed them. What would be the best thing to feed a pregnant mother? I heard that mealworms and waxworms provide an outstanding amount of protien and was wondering if they should be given.
This is sort of a random question but it concerns the feeding of mealworms. I used to have leopard geckos and was always on the constant worry that when I fed mealworms that they would eat their way out of my lizard’s stomach. I was wondering if this was a worry with hamsters too?
I’m not sure if this is possible but I have been to some wildlife museums in San Francisco, California, and they have some robo hamsters in a “naturalistic terrarium”. I was wondering if this was good for the hamsters or not.
So here is the layout I was thinking for the “naturalistic” part of the terrarium. For substrate I was thinking of using brown CareFresh Small Animal Bedding. Then for housing I was going to add a 6″ long wood hut (Mac’s Creatures & Critters Pet Refuges) on the far right side of the tank. Now onto my second question that concerns me a lot. Would silk fake plants be toxic to the hamsters because I could hang them around the cage with suction cups.
I was going to use just a regular water bottle made for small animals. There will be a wire mesh at the top of the cage just in case. For feeding, I was going to feed the robos 8 in 1 Ecotrition Essential Blend for Hamsters and Gerbils and I was wondering if I could feed them some Timothy Hay because one, it looks natural, and two, it is supposed to be good for small animals. The food dish will be pretty large 4.5″ diameter bowl.
Then for toys I was going to add an 8.5″ Zilla Bark Bends. Then I was going to add 2 5″ wheels but I’m not sure how to make them naturalistic looking. I was also going to add a bird ladder and some apple tree chew sticks (Now available at Petco.com!).
If there is anything I missed or you don’t think will work, please tell me.
Thanks a million!
Why would I get the critter trail, the whole point of naturalistic is so it looks natural. Geez

Aquariums have poor ventilation plus Robo Dwarf Hamsters aren’t really the type to be handled by people. They’re more of the type to be watched than handled. And you are correct they do live in colonies I think these are the only dwarf hamsters that aren’t solitary hamsters.
Why don’t you just buy a Pre-Made Cage like Critter Trail?

Hello everyone, need little help with my upcoming trip to Singapore,Vietnam,Thailand,Malaysia,Phillipines.?

Question by freeeeeee_spirit: Hello everyone, need little help with my upcoming trip to Singapore,Vietnam,Thailand,Malaysia,Phillipines.?
So, I’m planning to go for a trip from London to 5 Asia (Pacific) countries – Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, The Phillipines and Singapore. My plan is to stay in each country 3 days (+/-) and then to move on to next country and so on. Is there any travel agency who can help me with flight plans? I don’t need hotels or catering stuffs, i’m single so will handle those by myself. Also, if you can provide any information of any cheap airnetwork operating in asia pacific – i can arrange my flight plans there.
Any input will be appreciated greatly. Thanks in advance.

AirAsia, Jetstar, Tiger Airways, Pacific Airways all operate in the region. But why only 3 days in each country? If you have a time constraint I recommend spending more days in fewer countries, only because there is SOOOO much to see/do. A good website to look for flights is Whichbudget.com. It has information for budget airlines all around the world.
Peace!

Question by Ski P: Help, need an apartment in San Francisco.?
I am relocating to SFO for 6 months, I’ve searched Craigslist everyday for the last 2 weeks and couldn’t find what I am looking for. I need to be near montgomery BART station, and I can pay $ 800-1,100 monthly. I would really appreciate any tips or any info about apartments in San Francisco (besides craigslist or metrorent or forrent). Thank you!!

You can’t find anything because nothing like that exists. It does not even close to exist. You will not find anything in that price range, not even a closet. You will need $ 2000-4000.
