The New York Times plans 8 pct newsroom staff cuts
By ANDREW VANACORE – AP Business Writer
NEW YORK — The New York Times said Monday it will cut 100 newsroom jobs and an unspecified number elsewhere amid industrywide declines in advertising revenue.
The Times already trimmed about 100 positions from its business operations this spring and plans additional cuts. The newspaper would not say how many.

Will their “hard hitting” editorials continue or will they finally wake up and realize that they simply don’t sell papers?
What are your thoughts?

The Times should go under because they’re nothing but an arm of the DNC and controlled by Obama.

Question by : If i take a flight from london to san francisco, what is the net time gain from the day’s travels?
say if i leave at 10 in the morning in london, what time would i arrive in san francisco?
Best answer:
Answer by Tanusree M
The time difference between London and San Francisco is 8 hours. Right now it’s Tuesday 7:48 PM in San Francisco and in London, it’s Wednesday 3.48 AM. So when you leave London at 10 AM, it’ll be 2 AM in San Francisco. So you’ll gain 8 hours not counting the time it takes to fly here.

How long is a flight from Chicago to San francisco?

Question by Sweetheart88: How long is a flight from Chicago to San francisco?
Will it be more than one stop to get there? When they say its more than one stop, do that mean I have to switch planes or do i stay on the same one while people get off? I want to fly out from Midway on a Thursday and come back on a Sunday.
Best answer:
Answer by techmaniac
For direct flights: From O’Hare, you have 2 options, United and American.
If you want Midway, book with southwest, best fare you’re going to get. There are direct flights to San Francisco Int’l [SFO], or Oakland Airport nearby. Go for direct flights when you can. Stops will probably get you a lower fare, but its more tiresome. Flights usually take around 4.5 hours westbound, and 4 hours eastbound.

202.00 (United Airlines) — 279.00 (Delta) this is a 1 week roundtrip flight from Baltimore to Miami
135.000 — 183.00; if flying to FT. Lauderdale
*rule of thumb, always book a flight on a Tues/Wed if you can. The prices of tickets are generally cheaper because of low traffic volume and its the middle of the week; most often more business people are traveling at this time so the wait is minimal at best.
Hope this helps

If this is true, where can I go for this information. I’m driving from Miami and San Francisco.

That is NOT true, and look very carefully on the fine print and other destination charges for one way rental (that is not returning to the originating location)
