Fun family things to do in San Francisco?

Question by Lily: Fun family things to do in San Francisco?
I’m going on vacation with my dad and 12 year old brother (I’m 17) soon to San Francisco. None of us have been there before so we wanted to check out the cool things they have to do there. Unfortunately we have no idea what there is there besides the Golden Gate Bridge and a Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum. Do you have any ideas on fun family activities?

I am a Singapore Permanent resident and my family is coming over for a visit can I buy one way airfare?

Question by jego: I am a Singapore Permanent resident and my family is coming over for a visit can I buy one way airfare?
I like to know if a one way flight ticket to singapore is allowed by Phil goverment for our going Filipinos. In my case, I am a singapore Permanent resident and I plan to being my family over here for a visit and the return flight flexible. I am thinking of buying their return ticket here in singapore.

never thought about that before but better to buy an open dated return flight as well.

on second thought, i think it is required to have a return ticket because they require visitors to have an available ticket in case you do not go beyond the immigration and have to go back immediately to your place of origin. airline companies are required to inform you on that as the burden of bringing you home would be your carrier.

Q&A: where should a family of 5 stay in new york city?

Question by Crissy Knox: where should a family of 5 stay in new york city?
My husband, 3 children and i are driving up to new york from pennsylvania and we would like to get a room close to attractions in a safe area but don’t want to spend a fortune on a super fancy hotel. We are interested in seeing the statue of liberty, time sq., central park, ground zero, maybe a broadway show. Any suggestions on where we should stay?

How can my family of 3 can see the various attractions of New York by staying at New York Economically?

Question by mnmukherjee11: How can my family of 3 can see the various attractions of New York by staying at New York Economically?
The places can be covered in 2/3 days, the mode of Transport & the approximate cost may please be indicated.

Best answer:

Answer by bookish
The great thing about New York City is that it costs you nothing to walk down the streets and look at the sights. You can see the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center,St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fifth Avenue are all free–and you can go into the magnificent lobby of Trump Tower and it won’t cost you a dime. You can visit FAO Schwartz but you don’t have to buy anything.
Way downtown, the Staten Island Ferry is free. You get a great view of the Statue of Liberty, and when you ride it back toward Manhattan, the view of downtown is great!
There are many museums that charge just a small donation for you to enter.
