take the lightrail into bwi then take a cab or you can always just take the train from penn station to dc its not that expensive.heck id drive better yet take greyhoumd they usually do this on the cheap.

I am an Aussie and my family is going on a holiday there for a couple of days as part of a trip around the U.S. Is Alcatraz good? Any other suggestions?

Yes, the Alcatraz tour is good. You get it at Fisherman’s Wharf – Pier 39 – which is a whole day in itself. You should also take the Sausalito Ferry to Sausalito for shopping and go to Gharadelli Square. There is also a Ripley’s Believe it or not museum down the street from Fisherman’s Wharf which is good.

Go to “the mall” area. You can view The Capital Building, The White House, The Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, and even spend a little time in the Smithsonian. They are all within a 2-mile walk along the mall. No bus, no subway needed.

I am planning to celebrate my 30th in Las Vegas next year with some friends. I have previously stayed at MGM, TI, and New York New York but want to stay somewhere different. I was thinking about Planet Hollywood but I’ve read that it’s kind of rowdy. Can someone suggest a fun, nice, and clean hotel to stay at. I don’t find if its a suite either! I just wanna party and make it memorable!

The best way to get a great deal is to book them separately. For flights, check sites like Southwest airlines or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare.

Trains are safer and faster. Get off at Union Station in DC and the Metro is right there for you.
