Q&A: How much would it cost to rent a 2-bedroom apartment in the San Francisco Bay area?

Question by Enoch: How much would it cost to rent a 2-bedroom apartment in the San Francisco Bay area?
Prefer a relatively new apartment in a relatively nice neighborhood.

Also, how much cheaper would it be to rent the same apartment in Sunnyvale/Cupertino/Santa Clara than in the SF City?

if you have to ask…that means you can’t afford it.

Where is the best place to live (apartment or studio) in San Francisco?

Question by Cyle F: Where is the best place to live (apartment or studio) in San Francisco?
I’m moving from Central Florida to San Francisco. However, I haven’t decided on a certain location or complex. I’d like to know the best place with low crime and close to fun activities and people. Don’t really mind the pricing but anything under $ 2,000/month would be nice. Thanks for your time.

The Sunset & the Richmond (which are virtually the same, just on opposite sides of GG park) are really nice and close to good stuff. Especially the Richmond as you’re close to the park, and Geary which has TONS of great food, shopping, movie theater & bars

Well, just use www.forrent.com, www.apartments.com, www.everyaptmapped.com, or www.move.com

Could you be a little more specific too? I could give you a more specific answer if you’d tell me more like what college you’re going to, how much you can afford, what attractions you want to be near, etc.
