I worked in the SF hotel industry for over 6 years and never heard of a slumber party package. What exactly is it?

I have friends from CHICAGO visiting on Monday. I plan to bring them to San Francisco downtown (only) for a tour and I plan to bring a car. Do you have any DRIVE ROUTE suggestion in downtown SFO so I can maximize my driving time? We plan to go to Golden Gate, Chinatown, Pier 39, North Beach, Japanese Town, North Beach, Lombard, Palace of the Fine Arts…..etc. I’ve been to these places but I cannot formulate a driving plan so I can go to all these places in one time without wasting my time/gas. The tour estimated for 4 hrs only.

I’m looking at staying at the international student center or possibly the Big Apple. but if anyone’s stayed at any hostel near times square and all those touristy attractions, please let me know! i’d like to find the most convenient and accomodating place.. as well as clean and SAFE

I really hate buying bento things online because they’re always double the original price. The only places I know they sell bento stuff is Kinokuniya on 41st in Manhattan and Banzai 99cent store in Queens (Inside Flushing Mall). Banzai 99cent store is kind of tedious for me to get to since I need to take several trains and buses to get to it. And Kinokuniya is as expensive as the sellers online sell simple bentos.
So if you know any place where they sell alot of bento stuff in one place, or even, if there’s Asian(ranging in the Japanese food area) super markets….that would help me alot.

P.S- If you don’t know anything, then please, don’t bother posting anything. Everytime I ask a question, some people write very ignorant things that has nothing to do with the question. Telling me to “look it up” doesn’t help, since I use Answer Yahoo as my last resort, after I’ve busted my head for months looking it up online and going around.

I’m heading out to San Francisco on Friday. I wanted to know what kind of night life the city has to offer. I’ll be staying close to Union Square so if you have any suggestion please let me know. What about attractions for the day? Oh, and what’s the weather there like on the first week of August?
