i have been looking for this place where they sell live fresh crab and tie them and hand them to you in a white garbage bag. i’m pretty sure that it’s not in fisherman’s wharf but maybe 20 mins in downtown san francisco. please help!! ive been searching for this place for 3 years. thanks!

I don’t know exactly what shop but try the fresh fish vendors along Stockton Street in Chinatown. Most shops are between Broadway and Clay.

Seafarers and International House (http://www.sihnyc.org) and Jazz on the Town (http://www.jazzhostels.com/jazzonthetown.php) (both near Union Square with lots of subways and fun things to see and do) are among the best. My wife and I even recommended them to some of our less affluent wedding guests. (None stayed there, but my parents checked them out and approved and they don’t approve of anything.)
There’s also a pretty new Econolodge a few blocks from Times Square.
Don’t stay in the Hostel on Amsertdam and 102nd. It’s right across the street from a housing project and the neighborhood’s a bit rough.

Madison is not a large city and will probably not have a lot of flights. Therefore ticket prices will be high due to lack of competition. You can see if you can get flights out of Milwaukee as AirTran has a number of flights out of that city. Another option is to fly out of Chicago.
I would suggest you fly into San Francisco versus Oakland as Oakland is an expensive city to fly in and out of.

Ok last night I met this really hot guy while on a trip to New York and I liked him a lot so he took a room at a hotel and we stayed the night but I just woke up and HE’S GONE AND SO ARE MY CLOTHES AND WALLET!!!!!!!!!!!! We drove to the hotel in his car so I know he’s from somewhere near here but I think he had an out of state license plate so he may have been from Pennsylvania or something! I don’t even know this guy’s name or like anything about him except that supposedly he works in finance. I know he gave a name when he checked into the hotel but I wasn’t paying attention when he was doing that and he almost definitely gave a fake name since he ended up walking away with my wallet, clothing and two bags that I was travelling with which I stupidly left in his car last night! So now the only thing I have that he didn’t take was my cell phone which I guess he thought was worthless to him cuz he had a Blackberry. But OMG WHAT DO I DO??? I’M NAKED IN BED, I DON’T EVEN HAVE A PAIR OF PANTIES TO WEAR!!!!!! And I don’t have any family around here so no one can help me:(( I just called my friend but she didn’t pick up so I left a message asking for advice and I’m waiting for her to call back and meanwhile thank god my cell has internet so I’m trying to get someone on here to give me some advice, any advice!!!!! God I am SO SCREWED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has to be a joke.
Who sleeps with a guy that you don’t even know his name. I mean when I meet someone the first thing I do is introduce myself. Get a robe go down to the service desk and tell them the room you are in and ask them under who’s name was it checked in.

I am looking for a site that I can put preferences such as location, # of bed/bathrooms, garage, and floor position (1st floor walk up, second floor with elevator, etc), and have it email me when criteria are met. Essentially I am looking for a rental site that works like Monster.com job search agent.
If that isn’t possible, a good rental apartment referral site for San Francisco will do.

I have. Just go on Trip adviser. Stay at a hotel or motel closest to the Fisherman;s Wharf. Each hotel should tell you how close they each are to the water. If you want to go to Alcatraz buy your tickets NOW online. If you don’t the line is horrendous and theres a good chance you still won’t go. At night time theres alot of things going on near the water. It usually is cool at night and you will want long pants and a sweatshirt of light jacket. THere is a Chinese walking tour that I advise you to do. The cable cars are good transportation as are the buses.

First: Wait for your friend to call back and she can bring some clothes. You can’t go out without any clothes. There is no other way. Or you can call for hotel service, and ask for a lady.
Second: After getting clothes you should have a bank account so go out and find a bank. Take out money. Pay for the room, pay for food.

In the East Village, there are a couple of good ones in a row on Second Avenue, just south of 7th Street. They’re both on the west side of Second Avenue.
If you make it over the bridge into Williamsburg, Brooklyn, there is a fantastic place called Bliss. Take the L train to the Bedford stop (first stop in Brooklyn), and Bliss is right there when you get above ground. Fantastic nachos.
Also, get a New York zagat guide for restaurants. Or check them out online. They organize restaurants by category, and rank them.

If so, I would love if either anyone of you people out there could send me the video(s) because I missed out on it. I made big plans on going but sadly, I was busy with family stuff. Trips, y’know? So if anyone, anybody, could kindly give me their link so I can fully watch the shows. It’d mean a lot to me.

P.S. I tried checking on YouTube, of course, but they did not have the whole show at the 2009 San Francisco Warped Tour as I thought they would have. I was thinking at least some would have it caught on tape. Nope.
