Question about hotel booking on Expedia?
Posted by Mostafa Safavi in All about New York on January 30th, 2012
Question by : Question about hotel booking on Expedia?
Do you have to present the credit card you paid for the reservation with when you check into the hotel?
I couldn’t find anything about it in my reservation confirmation email, but I just want to be sure because I lost that credit card and may have to get a new one with a different number.
The reservation is at New York New York in Las Vegas, if that makes a difference. The reservation isn’t until October, but I want to take care of this a.s.a.p. if I end up having to contact Expedia customer service.

Q&A: About helping a cross-dressing friend in pain?
Posted by Mostafa Safavi in All about Washington D.C. on January 27th, 2012
Question by : About helping a cross-dressing friend in pain?
A friend of mine has confided in me about cross-dressing. He is married and has two kids, little kids. His wife is aware of the cross dressing, but not the extent of his obsession.
He won’t go to therapy because he is afraid of therapy. Does any one know of any resources in the Baltimore or Washington DC area for therapists- support groups – anything?
I understand that he is in a terrific amount of pain, but I am not a therapist. I am afraid that letting him talk to me about it is enabling him from figuring out what to do.
To be clear, I 100% support him dressing as a woman. I think that cross-dressing is fine. I just don’t know why he hasn’t already come out and I don’t know how to help him transition.
I kind of think that his refusal to see a therapist who can help him figure out whether he really wants to or not is because he doesn’t really want to. But, I just don’t know. I don’t have any other friends but him with this problem.
Please send me links and resources as well as your opinion on how I can help him.
He wants to come out as a woman now. He wants to get a new job and start working as a woman. It is not my idea.
You are right that it is none of my business, he comes to me. He contacts me at least fifty times per day. I do not contact him.
I am trying to help him. I don’t care how anyone dresses.
Again, to be clear – It is not me who thinks he should start living as a woman – it is his idea. Entirely his. I support him either way – he is my friend no matter what he wears.
Best answer:
Answer by Sophie B
Why do you think he needs to “come out”?
He’s a cross-dresser, not gay..A cross dressing man, just likes to dress in womens clothes.
99% are otherwise Hetrosexual..
If he doesn’t want therapy, leave him alone.. probably fine just the way he is.
And it’s really none of your business…

Can my credit be clean after I ask for my credit report and complain about accounts that doesn’t belong to me?
Posted by Mostafa Safavi in All about Washington D.C. on January 9th, 2012
Question by chikitamisteriosa: Can my credit be clean after I ask for my credit report and complain about accounts that doesn’t belong to me?
There are some collection agencies calling me to make me pay some accounts that aren’t mine. They are all under my name, my social and my old phone number from Puerto Rico, they do not have the address. I recently moved to Washington, DC (my first time living in the states) I’ve been here for almost 5 months now and I already have accounts for JCpenny, something about Verelos gas card and Quest Communication since 2007. The only company that exists in PR is JCPenny. The rest of them I don’t even know about them. All from Colorado and under a name from someone I don’t even know (Jose L. Carrera). Another thing is that I don’t have a job, so that means I can’t have a credit card from any company, that’s impossible so it is obviously identity theft. Now I just can’t apply for anything because its denied, when my credit only have under my name just my cellphone account and my student loans. Is there any chance I can get my clean credit back again? I’m so pissed…
Best answer:
Answer by Katherine W
You’re the victim of identity theft. You report it to the police and then send the police report and a notarized statement to each company. Then, when creditors call, you tell them the story and ask to send them the paperwork you’ve already sent to the companies. It’s a pain but eventually it goes away and your credit clears up. You need to learn how to fight it.

Q&A: What’s so good about our Malaysian Airlines which charges high prices?
Posted by Mostafa Safavi in All about Singapore on January 8th, 2012
Question by J: What’s so good about our Malaysian Airlines which charges high prices?
Most airlines above it offer air tickets to foreign countries at lower prices.
AIRLINE OF THE YEAR 2009
1 Cathay Pacific Airways
2 Singapore Airlines
3 Asiana Airlines
4 Qatar Airways
5 Emirates
6 Qantas
7 Etihad Airways
8 Air New Zealand
9 Malaysia Airlines
10 Thai Airways
For instance, fly to Rome. MAS’ tickets are higher than Qatar Airways’. Would we want to pay higher prices just to support our national airline?
Best answer:
Answer by jimmy
Who said Malaysian Airlines is “good” ? I can say that it is as good as the others, and also not worse than them. Because of competition, they are the same….Sometimes, you have no choice but to take MAS because only MAS operates from your town…and if your timing is right, MAS can be cheaper than Air Asia. And if you take MAS, you are in familiar surroundings…..

September 11 is the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center. Many events in DC that weekend will revolve around memorials and services for that event.
The Old Town Alexandria Arts Festival is also going on that weekend and is one of my favorite events every year. Artists from all over come to show and sell their wares in the street in historic Old Town Alexandria.
You can use the links below to see if there are any other events you’d be interested in but with the list you already have you may be plenty busy.
Your best bet is to use metro rail to get around although I also really like the Circulator buses which run a route that circles the National Mall (where the museums and memorials are) from the Capitol building to the World War II memorial on 17th Street.

We are planning a vacation to Washington DC this summer. Being from Maine, I know nothing about the area.?

Question by Mrs J: We are planning a vacation to Washington DC this summer. Being from Maine, I know nothing about the area.?
I’m hoping there is someone out there who does. Right now we are planning to take a bus from here to there. Now how would I get from the bus station to the motel? Are there busses that run around town?
Best answer:
Answer by Mc Duff
buse or cabs — just like the big city —- You’ll want to allow a lot
of time for the Smithsonian. Then within walking distance on the
mall you’ll find the National Archives, short distance from there
is the white house, senate,:Lincoln, Jefferson, and Washington
Memorial. Then take a step or two over to Arlington to pay respects
and visit Kennedy’s eternal flame. A taxi/bus ride will get you
out to the National Zoo with the Panda’s n stuff. Been a few years
since I was there last so don’t remember night spots – sorry
