grand opening i think, theresw is going to be a big coral reef tank and you can see inside!! im goiing today because its free to sf residents , but you have to bring any sorta id to get in free, otherwise its 25 bucks!brand new , the one thats been building for years and its a neighbor to the deyounf museum.

    Yes, I suppose it is exciting (especially for those with an interest in the natural sciences). The California Academy of Sciences deserves a worthy home.

    Along with the Field Museum, American Museum of Natural History, and Smithsonian Institution — the Academy is one of the largest natural history museums in the country. Yet, the old building was dark, dusty, and cramped. This 300 million dollar makeover will certainly breath new life into the place.
