Question by E.B.: What are the best restaurants in New York City?
I am taking my wife to New York City for our 1st Anniversary, and I want to take her somewhere nice, but not TOO terribly expensive. Thanks for the help!

Tavern on the Green is pricey, but it is wonderful! Plus it is in Central Park and a great place to take a stroll after dinner.

I have to do a research paper on an artifact in any of the Smithsonian museums. I was wondering if there were any interesting artifacts that can be found in the Holocaust Museum, the website for the museum didn’t help me put. Has anyone been there and seen a famous(ish) or important artifact? Thanks for the help.

There is a really cool room with pictures from the ceiling down its a forty foot ceiling so pretty cool. If your going with a child you might want to cover their eyes for some parts. They also have the beds from a concentration camp. It’s a very cool place.

NYC is chilly – first check weather.com and you will see what the weather is that week. Definitly bring your coat- its cold in NYC and may rain.
Bring some nice clothes if you go out to dinner or the theater or to a club…
Bring sneakers and comfy clothes for the daytime since you will be walking around all day to check out the city.

umm there’s the wax museum. and chinatown! and fisherman’s wharf has a lot of random stuff to do and little shops to go in.

First. Why is there a no-NYS-resident policy for so many of the hostels in NYC?(I’m from upstate)
Second.I’m having a REALLY hard time finding ANY hostels that do accept New York state residents,know of any?

Many hostels in the US don’t accept residents of that state, not just New York.
Why? They don’t want to become homeless shelters. They want to remain available for international travellers.
